PA Right-To-Know Law


Sandy Township's Open Records Officer is Barbara Miller. Barb has been with the township since 1994 filling the job of the Secretary/Treasurer. She ensures that all booking and filing is in order. She handles township monies, making sure that all township obligations are met in full and on time.

Barb was appointed the Open Record Officer position on Dec 15th, 2008 by Resolution 2008-21

Ensuring open and honest government is a bedrock principle of any democracy. Sandy Township's elected and/or appointed officials and its public employees adhere to this principle. Pennsylvania has codified this important right to access government records in Act 3 of 2008, called the Right-to-Know Law. Sandy Township Government in relation with the Right-to-Know Law strives to enable our citizens and others to easily obtain needed information on how we Serve The Public.
